The RSPB Vane Farm Bird Sanctuary and the Scottish Gliding Centre are close by.
There are beautiful gardens to visit, many interesting cycle routes, and this is good country for hill walking and horse riding.
Fishing and water sports are available on a number of lochs in the locality.
The golf course at St Andrews and Gleneagles are only the most famous among the many others close by.
